What is a CMS?

A CMS (Content Management System) is a web-based publishing tool that helps you manage the content of your website, allowing you to easily keep your content neat and up-to-date. A CMS is used to structure and manage content; i. e., text and images. Being able to provide your customer a good user experience places demands on your CMS, being that presentation and visualization takes place there.

A CMS facilitates the direct publication of content onto your website, which eliminates the need for any programming knowledge. You use a web interface; often with a so-called “WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor”, where you can preview the web page and see how it will look in the browser.

Storm Commerce e-commerce platform can be linked with any CMS; such as, EPi, WordPress, SiteVision, and Contentful – to list but a few.
